Trine Overby Laursen

Trine Overby Laursen specializes in construction law and technical consulting. She provides advice on matters concerning virtually all phases of building and construction, including advice on conclusion of construction contracts and consultancy agreements. Her area of expertise also comprises the potential legal challenges during the construction phase itself, including handling additional requirements, errors and omissions, claims regarding delays and disruption, etc., as well as any legal aftermath. Trine customarily acts as a sounding board for the project management from the early stages of a dispute in order to identify key issues and focus efforts on the most important aspects and thus handle the dispute efficiently and cost-effectively.

Trine primarily advises private and public developers and construction companies, and over the years she has assisted clients on a number of comprehensive and complex building and construction projects.  She has provided legal advice in connection with all kinds of construction projects, ranging from multistory dwellings to industrial buildings, warehouses, schools, laboratories, research buildings and infrastructural facilities. She has extensive experience in handling disputes between parties in a construction project, including dealing with expert appraisals, warranties, estate transactions as well as large and complex arbitration proceedings.

Trine developed and operates the digital tool AB Matrix which focuses on cooperation obligations according to the AB18 rules from the perspective of the developer.  Furthermore, Trine is a member of the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board.

Trine has a Master of Law degree from the University of Copenhagen, she obtained her license to practice law in 2007 and obtained the right to appear before the Danish High Court in 2008.
